Goodie M.O.B. Mixes It Up For "World Party"

A year after releasing their critically acclaimed second LP, "Still Standing," the Atlanta rappers known as the Goodie M.O.B. are getting ready to drop "World Party" later this month.

As the title suggests, the southern hip-hopsters are looking to broaden their musical horizons with record number three, and to that end the Goodie M.O.B. employed several more producers than it had on previous albums.

Since its 1995 debut, "Soul Food," the M.O.B. has gotten the majority of its tracks from the Atlanta production outfit Organized Noize, though 1998's "Still Standing" LP saw some diversification with cuts from DJ Muggs, Mister DJ, and the group's own T-Mo.

For its third outing, Goodie M.O.B. once again logged some studio time with Organized, of course, and also brought in such names as Deric "D-Dot" Angellettie, TLC producer Dallas Austin, and Eazy Mo Bee, who has cut classic tracks for Notorious B.I.G.

"It's good to have no limits," Cee-Lo from Goodie M.O.B.

told the MTV Radio Network. "People don't like to feel that they held back or we have to [work] with these people because we started with them and we're obligated."

"That's what I like about our group and our crew," he added. "We give everybody they're own space to do whatever it is they want to do artistically. It's game and I feel like that's progression, man."

Goodie M.O.B.'s "World Party" is due out on December 21, and the record also includes collaborations with fellow Atlantans TLC and Outkast.
