Russell Jones, the rapper known as Ol' Dirty Bastard, walked out of a Brooklyn hospital early Wednesday morning about eight hours after he walked in.

As we first reported on Tuesday (see [article id="1429482"]"Wu-Tang Clan's Ol' Dirty Bastard Shot"[/article]), O.D.B. (who also recently adopted the handle Big Baby Jesus) was shot Tuesday afternoon during what police are calling a robbery at the Brooklyn home of his girlfriend. The rapper was robbed of some jewelry and was shot once; the bullet entered his back and exited his arm.

A spokesperson at Brooklyn's Interfaith Medical Center called the wounds "superficial," and commented about O.D.B., "He's quite a character.

Police are looking for two or three suspects.

Dirty had just returned home to Brooklyn from Orlando, Florida where on Sunday he recorded a duet for Coolio's next album (see [article id="1427476"]"Coolio and Ol' Dirty Bastard Do It In the Park"[/article]).
