Eminem To Voice Web Cartoon; Wants Out Of "Witch"

Eminem has often been described as an animated rapper, and now Marshall Mathers will be getting drawn into the world of animation for a new Web cartoon, currently under construction at www.slimshadyworld.com.

Mathers will lend his voice to 26 original episodes of the planned weekly series, which is being hosted by hip-hop site Hookt.com, with the premiere episode of "Slimshadyworld" tentatively set to air on the site in mid-July.

While Eminem has yet to address the planned series to U.S. media, he did talk about the project with British music magazine and site Q Online (www.qonline.co.uk), telling the publication that the Web series "is going to be some crazy entertaining sh** and I hope the fans will love it. This will show a more humorous side of me in comparison to the serious stuff on the album.

In other related Eminem news, the rapper is apparently having second thoughts about

his participation in the upcoming "Blair Witch Project" spoof "Da Hip-Hop Witch," a direct-to-video movie slated for release on August 15 (see [article id="1428617"]"Eminem, Vitamin C, More Take On 'Hip-Hop Witch'"[/article]).

Da Hip Hop Witch" also features appearances by Vitamin C, Rah Digga, Vanilla Ice, Pras, Ja Rule, Mobb Deep, and Killah Priest, and Rah Digga's reps claim that Eminem's lawyers have formally asked for his scenes to be excised from the film.

Eminem has also completed a collaboration with Redman, titled "Off The Wall," that will be featured on the soundtrack to "Nutty Professor II: The Klumps," due in stores on July 11.
