Marilyn Manson has won a small victory in North Carolina, and is celebrating with some high profile collaborations.

According to local reports, a Marilyn Manson show set for next month in Charlotte, North Carolina will go on as planned despite the protest of local parents. The "Charlotte Observer" reported on Thursday that the Coliseum Authority, which governs over the venue that will host the November 10 concert, has decided not to block the show, but said that it will now consider a rating systems for future concerts based on public reaction to the Manson show.

The Authority had reportedly been presented with a petition bearing the signatures of hundreds of Charlotte residents who had hoped to stop the show. According to the paper, Charlotte has not seen this type of public outcry since residents tried to block a performance of the musical "Hair" in 1971.

Manson will apparently celebrate the decision by hooking up with rapper DMX. The official Marilyn Manson

website (at www.marilynmanson.net) reports that Manson is working with DMX on a remix, but Manson's record label, Interscope Records, could not elaborate on the report.

Interscope did say that Manson was teamed once again with director Paul Hunter, the man behind Manson's "Dope Show" video. The two are currently working on the second video from "Mechanical Animals" for the track "I Don't Like The Drugs (But The Drugs Like Me).
