M.O.P. Reunites With Premier For New LP

Brooklyn-based rap duo M.O.P., known for its aggressively entertaining lyrics and live shows, is again working with Gang Starr's DJ Premier for the duo's fourth full-length, tentatively titled "Warrior," which is due in stores on August 29.

M.O.P.'s "Warrior" album will also feature production by Pete Rock, Da RockWilder, DJ Scratch, Teflon, and up-and-comer Mahogany, who has produced songs for artists from the Ruff Ryders camp. Guest appearances include veteran rapper Smooth B (formerly of Nice & Smooth) and Busta Rhymes, with whom M.O.P. will be touring this summer.

Hitmaker and famed producer Premier became a fan of Billy Danzenie and Lil' Fame (a.k.a. Mash Out Posse) after hearing their single, "How About Some Hardcore." Since then, Premier has produced a number of songs for M.O.P.'s previous albums, including "Salute Part 2 (featuring Gang Starr)," and the group's popular "Handle Ur Bizness (Premier remix)." M.O.P. has returned the favor by appearing on

such Gang Starr tracks as "Militia.
