3 Doors Down is currently out on the road touring in support of its "The Better Life" debut album, and in August the Mississippi-based band will team up with Creed for a two-week run.

The two groups also toured together earlier this year, shortly after the release of "The Better Life," but now the upcoming dates will represent a pairing of Top 20 Southern acts, as 3 Doors Down's record is currently number 19 on the "Billboard" album charts and Creed's "Human Clay" LP is at number seven.

According to representatives for Creed, the outing is tentatively set to run between August 10 and September 3, although only five concerts have been announced so far, including a two-night stand in Clarkston, Michigan on August 18 and 19. The remainder of the dates are expected to be finalized early next week.

3 Doors Down also told MTV News that it learned a lot about how to craft a live show from Atlanta hard rockers Sevendust, another one the bands that was on the bill for Creed's spring tour (see [article id="1433845"]"3 Doors Down Talks 'Kryptonite,' Records With Rush Member"[/article]).

"Sevendust," Harrell said, "when

they get onstage, you know they are there. Those guys put on a great show, man. Playing with them, that makes you kind of step up to the next level.

It's cool to watch them and their confidence onstage," Arnold added. "It'll definitely persuade you to step up and do good, [because] if you don't, then you know you're going to get blown away." [RealVideo]

3 Doors Down is scheduled to play the Odeon Concert Club in Cleveland on Thursday night with openers Stir and Mile, and 3DD is currently working "Loser" as the follow-up single to its smash hit, "Kryptonite.
