Sheryl Crow, Eric Clapton, Run DMC To Perform At "Special" White House Concert

Sheryl Crow, Mary J. Blige, Eric Clapton and Run DMC are among the eclectic mix of artists heading to the White House in a few weeks to take part in a Christmas fund-raiser for the Special Olympics.

President Clinton and the first lady will formally host the event, slated for December 17, and the show -- comprised of musicians performing Yuletide standards -- will also include appearances from Tracy Chapman, Jon Bon Jovi and Vanessa Williams, among others.

Actress Whoopi Goldberg will emcee the concert, which will be taped for broadcast on December 20 as the "Very Special Christmas from Washington, D.C." program on cable channel TNT.
