Eve Talks TV, Cash Money Packs Platinum As Tour Looms

The kick-off of the Cash Money/Ruff Ryders joint tour is less than a month away, but Eve's got her eye on other things.

The "Ruff Ryders' First Lady" has told the MTV Radio Network that she is currently in talks with television's UPN about a role in a new series. The rapper doesn't have much information about the show as of yet; she said that she is confirmed to shoot a pilot and that she plans to meet with writers in the coming weeks.

[article id="1441331"]"I know with acting, I haven't done it yet, but I can tell from just being around it, it's definitely more time [than music],"[/article] Eve said of what would be required of her should the show get off the ground. [article id="1441331"]"You have a set schedule and like, with music, you might have a schedule, but it's not a set schedule. It's like, 'Okay, when that's done, we'll get to the other thing.' So I know with TV, it's like, 'All right, this is at one, this is at one.' You have

to be there at one, you know? So I think it's a little strict." [RealAudio][/article]

In addition to her videos, Eve has logged at least a bit of TV time alongside other hip-hop stars in ads for Sprite.

While Eve works out her TV plans, her soon-to-be tourmates in the Cash Money Millionaires crew are busy clearing wall space as the platinum plaques keep rolling in. Juvenile's most recent offering, "Tha G Code," has gone platinum, while his previous release, "400 Degreez," was recently certified triple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America. Cash Money's Lil Wayne also hit platinum with his "Tha Block Is Hot," as did B.G.'s "Chopper City In The Ghetto" and The Hot Boys' "Guerrilla Warfare.
