Superstar diva Mariah Carey headed out to Edwards Air Force base outside Los Angeles earlier this month to film the video for "I Still Believe," the next single from her new compilation album, "#1's."In between serenading the troops at the base, Mariah talked with MTV News about the history of her relationship with the woman who first did the song, Mariah's friend and supporter, Brenda K. Starr. "I was a back-up singer for her when I was right out of high school," Mariah said, "and she was very supportive, like a big sister, and she used to bring me shoes and coats and things when I didn't have any money. She's actually doing salsa music now." "We're going to collaborate on a song for her English-speaking album," she added. "I'm going to write, co-write one of those songs for her, so it's going to be
cool." [28.8 RealVideo]The clip for "I Still Believe" was directed by Brett Ratner, who earlier this year directed the smash hit movie "Rush Hour."
