Brandy Blames Work Ethic For Recent Collapse, Hospitalization

Brandy, who recently returned to the set of her UPN TV series, "Moesha," has emphatically denied that her hospitalization last November was caused by anything other than her own strong work ethic.

During an interview with "Access Hollywood, " the Grammy Award-winning singer maintained that her collapse on the set of "Moesha" was brought on by chronic fatigue and dehydration, as her handlers claimed (see [article id="1426514"]"Brandy Hospitalized For Dehydration"[/article]).

I just want to tell you it took me five years to get sick," Brandy told the syndicated news program. "I'm the type of person that if I'm not working, I'm just not cool. It's my fault for not resting and chilling.

When asked about rumors that she had been addicted to diet pills, the singer responded, "I wasn't addicted to anything.

Moesha" has now been formally renewed by UPN, and Brandy is back working on episodes for the series' fifth season on air.

The

singer-actress is also hoping to win back-to-back Grammy Awards. Last year, Brandy and Monica took home statues for their duet on "The Boy Is Mine," and Brandy is nominated this year in the category of Best Female R&B Vocal Performance for "Almost Doesn't Count.
