Not to be outdone by the Pumpkin's recent flurry of free gigs, Philadelphia natives Boyz II Men will present a free concert of its own in its Motown-Philly home as part of the city's Independence Day festivities.

At a press conference yesterday, Philadelphia Mayor Edward Rendell announced details of the Boyz II Men show, which was being staged in conjunction with a city-wide celebration scheduled for June 26-July 5.

Boyz II Men just released a new single, "Can't Let Her Go," and is heading back on the road to resume a U.S. tour with Dru Hill, Next and Uncle Sam that was interrupted two weeks ago when Wanya Morris came down with laryngitis (see [article id="1426457"]"Boyz II Men Singer Diagnosed..."[/article]).
