Travolta To Join Babyface On The Dancefloor

Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, the singer/songwriter/producer who recently launched his own film production company with his wife Tracy, has reportedly gotten the "Saturday Night Fever" and "Pulp Fiction" star to star in an as-yet-untitled film about the New York City club scene.

According to "Billboard" and "The Hollywood Reporter," Kate Lanier, the woman behind the screenplay of "Set It Off," is working on a script in which a Latina dancer rekindles the flame in Travolta's ex-disco king character. While the script is not finished yet, Lanier has already promised that the film will not be another "Saturday Night Fever" rewrite.

No word yet on other casting, or when production might start.

Babyface, who tops this year's pack of Grammy nominees with eight nods, and his wife have already scored at least one film success with their first outing, "Soul Food."
