Verve Sing Bittersweet Goodbye To Tibet Set

The Verve have canceled their appearance at this weekend's Tibetan Freedom Concert after their bassist collapsed following a Munich show last Saturday.

According to "New Musical Express," doctors have ordered the Verve's Simon Jones to rest for a week, causing the band to pull the plug on four European dates, as well as their scheduled set this Sunday at the Tibetan Freedom Concert in Washington, DC.

Pending further tests by U.K. doctors, Jones was expected to fully recover in time for the band's U.S. tour with Massive Attack, which was slated to launch July 28 in Chicago (see [article id="1425035"]"Verve And Massive Attack Join Forces ..."[/article]).
