Fiona Apple Cancels Tour

Grammy winner Fiona Apple has canceled the final leg of her tour, about twenty-one dates in all, due to "personal family problems.

Apple, who won a golden gramophone last Wednesday night for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance for her single, "Criminal," was scheduled to play Washington D.C. on Wednesday, before moving on to Ashville, North Carolina and other cities on the east coast.

The tour was slated to wind down in Burlington, Vermont on March 31. Apple's camp released a statement saying that after touring the world for the better part of two years in support of her debut album, "Tidal," she was disappointed that she wouldn't be able to complete her tour.

Apple is, however, now writing songs and plans to start recording her sophomore album this Spring.
