TLC Taps Christina Aguilera, Destiny's Child For World Tour

TLC is getting ready to mount a fall tour in support of its quadruple-platinum album, "Fanmail," and has tapped teen queen Christina Aguilera and R&B quartet Destiny's Child as opening acts.

TLC and Christina Aguilera were both on hand for the 1999 MTV Video Music Awards, where TLC took home a Best Group Video moonman for "No Scrubs," while Aguilera presented an award for Best Rock Video with former Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee.

Aguilera sat down with MTV News backstage at the VMAs, and the "Genie in a Bottle" singer talked with Lee about the upcoming TLC-fronted outing.

"Well, next up, I'm planning on promoting my album some more," Aguilera said, "then I'll be going out on tour with TLC come November."

"I love them," Lee said of TLC.

"Do you?" Aguilera asked Lee. "I know, they're great. And they look so hot tonight, too. [When I saw their outfits] I was like, 'Oh!' They are so cute."[RealVideo]

The concert dates for TLC's "Fanmail" tour are expected to be announced later this week, although the worldwide outing will kick off in October.
