LeAnn Rimes' 'Need You' Knocks Billy Gilman From #1

But country albums top 10 stays nearly unchanged.

NASHVILLELeAnn Rimes knocks Billy Gilman from his #1 spot on the Billboard Top Country singles chart this week, reflecting sales as reported by SoundScan.

Rimes' song "I Need You" (RealAudio excerpt) leaps from the #26 spot to #1, dethroning Gilman's "One Voice" (RealAudio excerpt). Rimes' song, now in its second release week as a country single, appeared in the TV miniseries "Jesus." It was earlier released as an Adult Contemporary single and is now at #3 on that chart.

On the Billboard Top Country albums chart, time stands still for the top 10. The only change this week in the 10 best-selling albums is that the Dixie Chicks' Wide Open Spaces and Tim McGraw's A Place in the Sun traded spots, with the Chicks moving from #8 to #7 and McGraw from #7 to #8.

Otherwise, the Chicks' Fly is at #1, Gilman's One Voice is at #2, Faith Hill's Breathe is at #3, Lee Ann Womack's I Hope You Dance is at #4, Shania Twain's Come On Over is at #5, SheDaisy's The Whole Shebang is at #6, Lonestar's Lonely Grille is at #9 and George Strait's Latest Greatest Straitest Hits is at #10.

Debuting this week on the albums chart are the Kinleys' Kinleys II at #18 and Darryl Worley's Hard Rain Don't Last at #33.
