The bassist Yuri Popoff has recorded and toured with artists like Beto Guedes, Toninho Horta, Nana Caymmi, Maria Bethânia, João Donato, Leila Pinheiro, Wagner Tiso, Clara Sandroni, Flávio Venturini, Selma Reis, and Mauro Senise. His first solo album, Catopê (1993), won the Sharp prize. He has performed solo internationally in Hong Kong and Bangkok.
