Composed of vocalist Todd Brown, guitarist Mike Genett, bassist Randy Phelps and drummer Trevor Hill, Withstand was formed in early 2002. Withstand quickly began the writing and recording process releasing their first CD that April. By June of the same year their first single was receiving radio and internet radio airplay. In early 2003 Mike Pressley replaced Trevor Hill on drums and the band continued to play 100's of shows and release 2 more CD's over the coming years. In 2008 Levin Shackleford replaced Randy Phelps on bass as the band continued to tour venues and festivals. In mid 2012 after 10 years of entertaining fans the band made the decision to end their long run of performances. Mike Genett, Levin Shackleford and Mike Pressley continued their musical careers in different bands while vocalist Todd Brown ventured on as an actor and screenwriter. Since ending their successful run of shows, Withstand has been known to perform reunion shows on various occasions.
