About William Pears

The William Pears are a French power pop quartet including Thierry DuBois, Marc Pontet, Pierre-Gildas Perot, and drummer Eric Phelippeau; their songs are written exclusively in English. After a five-track, small-label EP called From a Chocolate Box appeared in 1993, the group recorded its debut album, Elephant in a China Shop, in 1994 for Columbia/Sony France. In 1998, the William Pears recorded their debut U.S. release, a self-titled affair, for Permanent Press. Big Bang appeared in spring 2001. ~ Steve Huey, Rovi
