About Sharon Bryant

New York vocalist Sharon Bryant joined Atlantic Starr in the late '70s, and her declarative, sensual voice helped make them a major act after they signed with A&M in 1979. She was featured on such hits as "When Love Calls" and "Circles," both of which were Top Ten R&B singles. Bryant departed the group in 1984, and married Rick Gallaway, a former Change member. She did some session work before cutting her own LP for Wing in 1989, Here I Am. It didn't generate much action, though the single "Foolish Heart" was well received. ~ Ron Wynn, Rovi
