Fresh off their near sell-out CD Release Party at prestigious New York City venue Mercury Lounge, Brooklyn based indie outfit Riot !n Paris have released their highly anticipated sophomore album Sample Sale for free download. Sample Sale, the buzz for which has been snowballing since the release of their Temper Trap sampling single 'Disposition', shows a great deal of maturity for the duo. The 9 tracks on this album capture the full range of the musical spectrum. From the party anthem "What a Waste" to the more reflective nature of "The Last Night", there is a track for any mood you're in. The release of Sample Sale is the capstone on a very big month for Riot !n Paris that began with them winning an MTV Online Award for "Most Extreme Fan Outreach". This award (for which they beat out Taylor Swift, Bon Jovi, Snoop Dogg and DeadMau5) was given in honor of their innovative Track Me project where they constructed songs based solely on fan's Twitter and Facebook Accounts. The award actually resulted in the chance for the band to write and play a a song for Wayne Coyne of the Flaming Lips, who voiced his excitement on air during the Flaming Lips' record breaking 24 Hour Tour. Riot !n Paris consists of life-long Brooklynites Mercy and Pete. Having cut their teeth on the New York City underground scene, the band has since built a cult following in every city their live show has touched down in. The band has recently wrapped tours of the east coast and midwestern United States, as well as stints in Europe and Canada. Make sure to catch the band when they're in your town, as 'Sample Sale' takes them closer and closer to the mainstream notoriety that they are destined for.
