About Moonshine Bandits
The Moonshine Bandits have created enough noise on their own to attract the attention of legendary Nashville booking agency Buddy Lee Attractions, the same agency that represents Jason Aldean, Colt Ford, and Josh Gracin, who now handle their bookings. The group’s hard work also paid off when they were picked up by Average Joe’s Management, the management firm that guides the careers of Colt Ford, American Idol’s Bo Bice, Rehab, The Lacs and Bubba Sparxx.
As a thank you to their loyal “Shiner” fan base for all their support, the Moonshine Bandits have assembled a the “Whiskey & Women: Deluxe Shiner Edition” a 2-disc CD/DVD set for release on December 4th. The album is packed with 16 slamming tracks and five smoking new songs The Bandits entered the studio to record for this exclusive collection. To aid them the Moonshine Bandits enlisted some of the biggest outlaws in the scene to create some intoxicating musical chemistry. Rehab’s Danny Boone jumped in the studio to lay down some Southern soul on the new Shiner anthem “Dive Bar Beauty Queen”, the Bandits load up on “Shotgun Shells & Shine”, while Paradime from the Kid Rock band give the fingers to detractors on “Addicted”, and hick-hop outlaw Big Smo spits straight 151 on “Hell Raisin’ Country”.
In addition to the smoking new songs, the “Whiskey & Women: Deluxe Shiner Edition” is packaged with an exclusive DVD of all the Moonshine Bandits music videos. The DVD features the videos for “Get Loose”, “For The Outlawz” featuring country superstar Colt Ford, “My Kind of Country”, “Super Goggles”, “Shine With Me”, and the brand new video for “Dive Bar Beauty Queen” featuring adult superstar Tera Patrick.
Moonshine Bandits “Whiskey & Women” is a backstage pass that grants fans access to the group’s hell raising “Shiner” lifestyle. To aid them in this backwoods bush party the group called in some close friends to throw back some cold drinks in studio. Country superstar Colt Ford and alt-rocker Big B jumped into the studio on “For the Outlawz”, while Danny Boone from REHAB (who produced the radio hit “Bartender Song/Sittin’ At A Bar”) contributed the monstrous hook on “Moonshine On Me”. Daddy X and Dirtball from the Kottonmouth Kings drop by on the track “Fire It Up”, and singer/songwriter Sunny Ledfurd adds some country flavor to “Los Banos”. The album also features production by some of the best in both the hip-hop and country worlds including Tyrant (E-40, Bubba Sparxxx, Tech N9ne), Shannon Houchins (TLC, Colt Ford, Usher, Jamey Johnson), and former Uncle Kracker drummer Eric Hoegemeyer.
The Moonshine Bandits party hard lifestyle extends beyond music as the group’s name originated from Tex’s ancestors bootlegging alcohol during the Prohibition years in Northern California. Tex’s great grandfather used a barber shop as a front while he peddled alcohol illegally in baby carriages to community members, family, friends and politicians. Now the group has embraced the name with their own legal 99 proof Outlaw Moonshine by Valley Spirits Distillery in California, which is sold in all Save Marts across California and other states.
When you add the ingredients of California’s favorite blue collar outlaws the Moonshine Bandits were built for outlaws that aren’t afraid to mix together women, whiskey, 4 wheel drives, Johnny Cash and the Beastie Boys. The Moonshine Bandits have built a solid “Shiner Nation” on their own without the aid of the mainstream music industry and by doing things on their own terms. Living the “Shiner” lifestyle isn’t just about the music, it’s also about partying and raising hell your own way.
