Maybe the Welders have brought their punchy, infectious, post-punk rock to the NYC masses for a number of years. Over the past several months, they have expanded their enthusiastic fan base to Great Britain and beyond. MtW's five latest singles were recorded by Ben Rice of Black Bells, mixed by Boston music stalwart Matt Girard, and mastered by Jeff Lipton of Peerless Mastering --a recent Grammy nominee and mastering engineer for Best New Artist Grammy winner, Bon Iver -- these recordings capture the true, live sound of MtW. Their newest single, "Scene From a Film," is available on iTunes, Amazon.com, and at their shows, with a video coming soon. In the mean time, check out the video for "Bartlett's Quotations."

Maybe The Welders play regularly around the Northeast, as well as Brazil, where they made front-page news on their tour in the spring of 2010. Since then, they have honed their live sound playing shows and festivals from Montreal to Baltimore, with ever-widening touring plans on the horizon. 2013 is sure to include a triumphant return to Brazil, and perhaps to whole new continents all together. Keep your eyes open, as they may be coming to your town soon. Inflected with the sounds of New York's past, present, and future, Maybe the Welders are continuing their city's rich tradition wherever people crave rock and roll. Come to one of their explosive, live shows and see what the fuss is about.
