Lights Over Paris aka L.O.P is an American rock band formed in Los Angeles, California. Ranked # 6 on Billboard's Heatseekers Albums in August 2010, the band has been touring nationwide since 2010 after the success of their debut single "Turn Off The Lights" that was featured on Yahoo! Music, MTV, VH1 and received over 1 million views on YouTube. The band has also featured other artists such as singer Dev and hip-hop artist Game in their songs.

The band initially formed in 2002 online by accident. Vocalist Robb "TaLLLLL" University created an AOL profile and listed "singing in the shower" as one of his hobbies.
On April 13, 2010, Lights Over Paris released their first EP, Turn Off the Lights EP on Digital Records/Type One Records. "Turn Off the Lights" was downloaded over 100,000 times on iTunes.
The music video for "Turn Off the Lights" was shot at various locations in Los Angeles. The video was premiered on Yahoo! Music MTV, VH1 and received over 1 million views on YouTube.
Sadly, their much anticipated album will most likely not be released.
With musical influences from AC/DC, and Lady Gaga to Blink 182 and Black Eyed Peas, Lights Over Paris is not limited to one particular genre. Their many influences include rock, pop, electro, and punk. The band harkens back to a late 90's punk rock mentality while looping around pop turns and dance rock twists, with the occasional hip-hop influence.

The band has a new single, "I'm Not a Gangsta", which features Game. The single was released on May 10, 2011. "I'm Not a Gangsta" is cut from the band's upcoming untitled release which has yet to come out. The album also features singer Dev (Like a G6, Bass Down Low).

In January 2013, bandleader and sole member Robert Mawhinney, a.k.a. Robb "TaLLLLL" University, was arrested and charged with fraudulently obtaining four bank loans totaling over 6 million dollars. If convicted, he may be facing 30 years in prison.
