About Kill Ferelli
and Jimmy Eat World, this new Dutch rock band seems to create a bridge between tough
rock and sweet ballads, Raw but accessible. Or to quote the band: “heavy guitar music with
catchy choruses, happy pop songs with a dirty edge and bittersweet ballads.”
First musical achievement was the widely positive received EP Demolicious from 2011,
followed by a series of shows that quickly generated interest from the A&R department of
Suburban Records. The contagious live-synergy between eyecatcher/ frontwoman Kelly
Kockelkoren (ex- Sat2D, ex- Viberider) and guitarist Punto (ex- Dreadlock Pussy) did the rest
of the work: on Friday the 13th a record deal with Suburban Records was signed.
Debut CD A Modern Scenery was recorded together with producer/musician Daniel Cardoso
and is planned to be released in Sebtember 2012. Their single Dance With Me has just been
released. Last year Cardoso produced Everything is Changing, the successful new album by
Anneke van Giersbergen. Together Kill Ferelli and Anneke van Giersbergen went on a tour
(22 shows) from the 8th of May 2012 that took them to Germany, France, Switzerland, Spain,
Italy, Slovakia, Poland and Austria.
