Into the Presence is the duo of singer/guitarist Luis Maldonado and drummer Tim Alexander. Alexander, a veteran of the bands Primus and A Perfect Circle, had known Maldonado, a California-based session musician whose credits include Pat Monahan, Glenn Hughes, John Waite, UFO, Anna Nalick, and Michael Schenker, for years, but it was not until he had purchased equipment for his home studio in Arizona while working on a solo project that he called Maldonado and proposed they make an album together.
