A French rock outfit brought together by former members of a number of different bands (Kyo, Pleymo, Watcha, and Vegastar) Empyr formed in 2007. Singing in English was their niche stock in trade, and helped land the band a Los Angeles locale for the recording of their debut album, The Peaceful Riot.
