About Breakdown (Hardcore)

One of several '90s bands to meld streetwise alternative metal with the fury of classic hardcore punk, Breakdown was formed in New York City and led by vocalist Jeff Perlin and guitarist Mike Dijan. After kicking around the local scene for over a decade, Breakdown signed with the neo-hardcore label Thorp Records and recorded Battle Hymns for an Angry Planet, which was released in the spring of 2001 and featured ex-Leeway/Both Worlds guitarist A.J. Novello. ~ Steve Huey, Rovi
