About Adamantium

Adamantium was a Metalcore-Hardcore punk band from Orange County, California, USA. History edit: Adamantium formed in 1996 after the collapse of the band Collapse. In that year, a demo cassette was recorded and a small local fan base was formed. In 1997, the band released the "Tradition" 7" E.P. on Prime Directive Records / Softcore. Following the success of the E.P, they signed to Indecision Records in 1998, and released their first album, From The Depths Of Depression in November 1998. The line-up for this release was Aaron Stone (vocals), Keith Barney (guitar), Aaron Lisi (guitar), Sean Rosenthal (bass) and Matt Horwitz (drums). After this release, Keith Barney left to play with Death By Stereo and subsequently Throwdown and Eighteen Visions. Sean Rosenthal left for an opportunity to tour with Alternative rock band Farside (who were signed to Revelation Records), and later played in a band called The Lost (also on Indecision Records). Matt Horwitz also left and now plays in another hardcore outfit, Lovethyne. Therefore, the band's second release, in August, 2000, When It Rains, It Pours saw three line-up changes in Dan Sena (guitar), Jim Schwartz (bass) and Jarrod Alexander who was fresh from drumming duties for Death By Stereo. Next up was a 7" release with Bane on Indecision's Split Series. It featured two tracks which were not on the first two albums. It was recorded in December, 2000 and released on vinyl in February, 2001. It was also re-released on CD as part of Indecision's Split Series compilation in April, 2001. In June, 2001, the band played their last show and disbanded. Aaron Lisi went on to play guitar for The Hope Conspiracy, Dan Sena went on to form Bullet Train to Vegas, Jim Schwartz started Innaway with members of Eleven Thirty-Four and Function, and Jarrod Alexander played in a number of projects. In June, 2005, Indecision Records released a retrospective album, called Traditions which included some material with the original line-up pre-From The Depths..., its 7" debut on Prime Directive Records and some previously unreleased material and compilation tracks. On Friday, January 1, 2011, guitarist Dan Sena announced that a reunion was in the works for two shows during Spring 2011. Dates and venues have yet to be set. Sena is quoted, saying "After 10 years, we have decided to do a couple reunion shows tentatively planned for the spring time. Two shows - one in Orange County and the other in Los Angeles. When and where will be announced in the coming months." Due to scheduling conflicts within the band, the reunion dates have been pushed back but continue to still be in the works. Band members edit: Aaron Stone - vocals (1996 - 2001), Aaron Lisi - guitar (1996 - 2001), Keith Barney - guitar (1996 - 1999), Sean Rosenthal - bass (1996 - 1999), Matt Horwitz - drums (1996 - 1999), Dan Sena - guitar (1999 - 2001), Jim Schwartz - bass (1999 - 2001), Jarrod Alexander - drums (1999 - 2001)
