Adam Daniel’s new album POP, BABY is a mashup of power pop shimmer and singer-songwriter heart. Thick with Elton John piano, glam rock guitars, Beach Boys vocal stacks, and new wave synth candy, its 13 tracks muse on sex, doubt, and heavier things. Adam wrote, arranged, produced, performed, recorded, mixed, and mastered the album himself on a Macbook Pro refurb, proving you don’t need big studio money if you’re daft enough to go fully solo and deft enough to pull it off. Taking DIY to extremes, he also does his own album art, website design, copywriting, and videos. Adam first made noise with his debut album BLUE POP, named “…among the best guitar pop albums of the ’90?s…” by All Music Guide. Between then and now, he took some creative detours: songwriting for film/TV with other artists: teaching about Spirituality, Science, and the Creative Process at Otis College of Art and Design; working with Rock the Classroom, a nonprofit introducing pop songcraft to inner city school kids; crooning odd ballad versions of Foo Fighters and Britney Spears songs at a piano bar in Hollywood; and launching his own branding and design shop. POP, BABY was released worldwide online and on CD July 2, 2013.
