About Aaron Denver Crites
Originally from the middle of nowhere (Casey, Illinois) Aaron Denver Crites arrived in Nashville in mid 2012. His unique vocal, lyric and guitar styles set his original songs in a category of their own and his spin on classics like RING OF FIRE and HOUSE OF THE RISING SUN takes these standards to a new place.
Since landing in Music City, Aaron has taken advantage or every opportunity that has come his way. He's hit the Writers Rounds at Bobbie's Idle Hour, The Comodore, Roosters, The Red Bicycle and The Listening Room, where he recently joined other artist residents of Ryman Lofts artist housing for a showcase. He has brought his talents to local fundraisers at the Springwater Supper Club and the Global Education Center.
Most recently, Crites was cast as country music icon Jimmie Rogers in the new Terry Harkleroad/Sharon Cort musical THE MOCKINGBIRD SINGS about the birth of country music and the legendary 1927 Bristol
Recording Sessions, discovering two things he didn’t know he could do - yodel and act! This took him into the studio with Grammy winning producer Milan Bogdan, who produced the soundtrack for the Harkleroad/Cort musical. His work onstage has made such an impression on local theatrical producers that he is now also cast as the lead in two other musical theatre projects - ONE KISS CAFE by Parrish Stanton and RUFF LIFE by Jesse Goldberg.
On the New York City front, Aaron gained a lot of Big Apple fans with his Valentine's Day show at the METROPOLITAN ROOM www.metropolitanroom.com Met Room owner Bernie Furshpan was so impressed that he's bringing Aaron back for a week, July 21 - 27, 2013.
