Disney’s Star-Studded New 'DuckTales' Cast Sings The Show’s Beloved Theme Song — A-Whoo-Ooh!

David Tennant, an actual Scotsman, is voicing Scrooge McDuck!!!

The animated DuckTales (a-whoo-ooh!) reboot of our dreams is one step closer to becoming a reality. Today (December 16), Disney XD announced the cast for its summer 2017 premiere of DuckTales, and either we bumped our heads on some coin diving into Scrooge McDuck’s money vault, or this is seriously the most impressive cast on television.

Why? Oh, only because the Doctor himself is in it. David Tennant, an actual Scotsman, will lead the ensemble as Scrooge McDuck, alongside a trio of actors voicing his grandnephews: Danny Pudi, Ben Schwartz, and Bobby Moynihan will play Huey, Dewey, and Louie, respectively.

DuckTales is a reboot of the beloved animated series, which premiered in 1987 and followed the daily shenanigans of the über-rich Scrooge McDuck and his three mischievous grandnephews. (In other words, #RichDuckProblems.) Saturday Night Live's Beck Bennett will voice Launchpad McQuack, Scrooge's personal pilot; Toks Olagundoye will play Mrs. Beakley, his housekeeper; and Kate Micucci will voice the precocious Webby Vanderquack.

To celebrate the announcement, Disney XD also released this amazing video of the voice cast signing along to the show's original theme. Give a warm a-whoo-ooh! to these lucky, filthy rich ducks:
