Taylor Swift Just Landed A Major Fashion Gig

It's no secret that Taylor Swift is an excellent host, which is why it makes total sense that the Metropolitan Museum of Art just named her as a co-chair of the 2016 Met Gala, alongside Idris Elba, Jonathan Ive, and, as always, Anna Wintour. She follows in Jennifer Lawrence's footsteps, who hosted the 2015 event.

The event will be "Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology"-themed, with a focus on "the dichotomy between handmade haute couture and machine-made fashion," according to Vogue. When the corresponding Met exhibition opens, it will include 3D printing workshops, which Kanye West will, undoubtedly, wanna check out.

So, yeah, Taylor may seem not like the obvious choice to host the technology-centric event, but it's not until May 2, so she has plenty of time to brush up on new technologies/prove us wrong.
