If Wes Anderson Directed An 'X-Men' Movie, The Results Would Be Damn Stylish
If Xavier's were Rushmore.
This fantastic short film dares to ask the question, "What if Wes Anderson directed 'X-Men'?" -- and dares to answer it with one word:
AWESOME.
This story of newly-awakened mutants, training up at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, is imbued with all the signature colors, camerawork, deadpan voiceovers and ironic self-awareness of "The Grand Budapest Hotel" or "The Royal Tenenbaums," and it is truly great.
However, it's tragically unlikely that Wes Anderson will ever delve into superhero films, which means that we're just gonna to have to be secretly in love with this short and leave it at that.
