Duncan Sheik Remembers Jeff Buckley On New Record

Singer, songwriter and occasional model Duncan Sheik will release his sophomore album, "Humming," on October 6, and the record marks Sheik's first real chance to pay tribute to his late friend, Jeff Buckley.

For "Humming," Sheik wrote and recorded "A Body Goes Down," a memorial for Buckley, who drowned while swimming in the Mississippi River in May 1997. Playing drums on that track -- and most of the rest of Sheik's album -- is Matt Johnson, who also played drums on Buckley's first record, "Grace.

As we previously reported (see [article id="1426541"]"Brandy Talks About Wilhelmina/Atlantic Records Modeling Deal" [/article]) Sheik was among the first group of artists from Atlantic Records to be paired with the Wilhelmina modeling agency, although he has yet to appear in any print or broadcasting advertisements arranged through the pact.
