Will J. Cole's 'Fire Squad' Lyric About Eminem Get Him Banned From Detroit?

Someone in Detroit isn't happy.

When J.Cole's third album, 2014 Forest Hills Drive, leaked last week, one of the immediate standout tracks was "Fire Squad," which found the Roc Nation rapper taking aim at artists that include Eminem, Macklemore and Iggy Azalea, for snatching hip-hop's 'sound.'

Eminem was the most surprising name that Cole called out, and it seemed like only a matter of time before Detroit rapper, Trick Trick, had something to say about it.

Trick Trick is infamous for giving artists who don't support the Detroit music culture a hard time -- he reportedly blocked Rick Ross from performing in the city a few months back -- and it looks like he might be considering some action against Cole.

One of Trick Trick's associates brought the line to his attention in a Facebook post about the lyrics, to which Trick Trick responded, "He ain't poppin "Sh-t Sh-t" is he????? I will lock the gate on that n---a!" He later added that Cole was looking for "an ass whippin."

Eminem has not commented on the track so far. 2014 Forest Hills Drive will be on iTunes Dec. 9.
