Here's What Disney Princesses Look Like As Hot Dogs, Because This Is What It's Come To

Delicious. Outrageous. But mostly delicious.

Over the past few months, we've seen Disney princesses reimagined as a whole lot of things. Strange things. Unexpected things.

Ariel, Jasmine, Belle and all your favorites have been re-envisioned with short hair, with body hair, as plus-sized women, as horror-movie monsters, as mermaids, and, yes, even as each other. The 2016 presidential candidates have even gotten in on the fun now.

And now, with summer long gone in the rearview mirror and our yearning for cookouts and cargo shorts still so present, we have Disney princesses reimagined as hot dogs. Because the world needs it.

Anna Hezel and Gabriella Paiella came up with recipes for Rapunzel, Ariel, Belle and Pocahontas over at Lucky Peach, and not only are they deliciously self-aware of the silliness, but they're totally expertly arranged and photographed, too.

Rapunzel's recipe, by the way, simply calls to prepare a hot dog in the normal way and then, you know, add "Onions!!!!!!!!!!" Lots of them. It might seem kind of ridiculous, but the level of detail that goes into making the faces, the hair and choosing which condiments are right for which dog is astonishing.

For the first time in this Disney reimagining game, there's no Photoshop skills required. Just a handful of household items and an appetite. Count me in when the Disney black-bean burgers make their way to the web.
