September 16 [12:00 EDT] -- As we reported Monday, a source close to Pearl Jam has confirmed that the band will join the list of top-shelf acts opening for the Rolling Stones on their Bridges To Babylon tour.
While it might seem like a dream gig, legendary Stones guitarist Keith Richards sees it in a different light.

Pearl Jam is apparently up to the challenge, as are Sheryl Crow, Foo Fighters, Blues Traveler, Smashing Pumpkins, and Dave Matthews Band who will
all have a shot opening for the Stones on their upcoming U.S. tour, which kicks off next Tuesday in Chicago.
As previously reported, Pearl Jam will open for the Stones on November 14 and 15 in Oakland. Pearl Jam will also have a new album out this winter, but fans should not expect it to arrive before Christmas.
