It appears the Ghostface Killah and Action Bronson conflict has hit a new marker.

Last month, Bronsolino said the Wu-Tang Clan icon he's often compared to was "not rapping like this no more." Ghost responded with a vlog threatening to gut AB "like a pig." Things seemed to die down since then, but on Tuesday (Aug. 11), a new page in this saga unfolded.

Popa Wu - a Wu-Tang affiliate who refers to himself as the Father of the Clan and who has appeared on the group's tracks - released a photo on Instagram. The image shows Action Bronson being spoken to by Popa Wu. His caption? "This wat we do I'm 4 real Popawu u F--k with my mine u get Chestties Wu 4ever."

Soon, speculation was rampant about what took place: Was this a confrontation? Did things escalate? What exactly are "chestties?"

MTV News spoke with Popa Wu to clear up rumors surrounding this incident. And he talked openly about how he feels this whole situation has been blown "out of proportion."

"What they did was, they took a shot of me and him standing there," he told MTV News today. "And you see my hands are behind my back at every position. I’m not yelling at him. I’m talking to him like a father talks to his son, like, ‘You gotta be careful with what you say.’"

"I was just talking to that brother," he added. "They blew it out of proportion."

Popa Wu Wants You To Know He Didn't Bully Action

"They think that I was bullying him. Nah, I would never do that to no kid. I’ve got a kid his age. I’m not no savage. I don’t do things like that. I’m 59 years old. What I look like bullying a kid? Come on. I don’t get nothing out of that. I’m righteous. That’s all it is."

He Also Wants It Known That This Isn't A Racial Problem

"People make it seem like it’s a racial issue like I’m mad because he’s white. I don’t think like that. Come on. I’m a Five Percenter. I’m righteous. I’m not anti-white or pro-black. I’m for what’s right. That’s what I care about. I don’t care about nobody’s color. I deal with what’s right and what’s righteous in my life."

He Wants Everyone To Know He Didn't Surround Bronson

"I was there by myself. Everybody knows Popa Wu always go by himself. I go anywhere by myself. I wasn’t there with anybody. So, everybody in the parking lot that was there that surrounded him that didn’t agree with him being there, that’s what it was. Then, they made it look like we surrounded him. Who surrounded? I came here by myself. I didn’t surround nobody. That’s why they got the story all twisted."

"We was just talking. And then [people] talk about disrespect because it was at a wake and all that. It was in the parking lot. I don’t want to put it out there, but nah. It was in the parking lot. And it was so many people. We were just in the corner talking. We was just talkin’. Nobody was yelling or screaming. I was talking to him."

He Also Doesn't Want Action To Speak About Ghostface Again

"We’re bigger than that. Ghost isn’t thinking about that kid. He’s a kid. Just keep doing you and leave me out of it. That’s all everyone is trying to tell him. Don’t keep talking. That’s what you want to do? You want to sound like me, keep doing that, but don’t put up no blogs talking about me. Don’t say things that I’m not rapping like this. We’re trying to tell him, just leave me out of it. Do you. Don’t put us in it. We pioneers. We don’t have to take that from a kid, man."

Popa Wu Didn't Mean To Type 'Chestties' On IG - He Meant 'Chastised'

“Chastised means you get talked to. We don’t hurt nobody. We just learn you about the game. Some things you don’t do. You don’t do that. That’s chastising like you chastise your kid. You don’t hit a kid. I don’t chastise my kid by hitting on ‘em. I talk to ‘em. That’s the chastising that we give down. We teach. Wu-Tang is teachers. We universal teachers. You don’t teach a kid by hitting them or putting your hands on them. Through my wisdom, he’ll see my power."

Popa Wu Says Bronson Showed Him Respect

"He had a lot of respect. That’s why I don’t want nobody to blow it up. He looked at me and he looked like he was looking at his father. He had respect. They’re looking at it in a different way. He just had respect for me. That’s what it was. Everybody else looking at it different. That’s why his face looked like that. He met Popa Wu. Come on. You know how people look up to me."

And He Has No Issue With Action

"That would be foolish for me to say that I have a problem. He’s a kid. He’s pursuing a career that he wants to be a rapper. I’m proud for him. That wasn’t an issue. Come on. I’m not foolish. I’m a grown-ass man. What I got an issue with a kid for? It doesn’t make sense. None of it makes sense."

While Popa Wu takes that stance, a younger member of the Wu-Tang family is taking another.

Young Dirty Bastard - son of the legendary Ol' Dirty Bastard - told MTV News today that he has strong feelings about Action Bronson's Ghostface feud.

"We feel like he stole something from us," Young Dirty said. "It feel like he stole an ancient pyramid from us and then tried to claim it. I didn't like that."

In the interview, he also shared how his viewpoint differs from Popa Wu's.

"Popa Wu is talking about being wise," Y.D.B. explained. "But I’m a young soldier right now. I’m hungry. I’m a warrior. And Action Bronson? He might get ate. That’s all I gotta say."
