One Direction’s Zayn Malik Leaving Tour Following Cheating Accusations
Zayn Malik is taking a break from One Direction.
The band has announced that Zayn decided to head back to the England to deal with "stress," while the group continues to perform on their On The Road Again Tour.
"Zayn has been signed off with stress and is flying back to the U.K. to recuperate," a statement released by the band's publicist said. "The band wish him well and will continue with their performances in Manila and Jakarta."
According to The Mirror, the singer pulled out of a scheduled shoot in Hong Kong, where they performed last night, to fly back and be with his family. The publication also reported that Zayn will miss the next three tour dates, but hopes to return for the concert in South Africa on March 28.
The news comes just one day after a picture surfaced of the 22-year-old holding hands with a girl who is not his fiancee, Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards. Zayn took to Twitter to call out the "jealous f--ks" and apologized for "what it looks like."
One Direction fans are clearly concerned about the singer, as they quickly began showing serious support for Zayn on Twitter on Thursday afternoon (March 19).
