MC Skat Kat Resurrected In This Must-See Rebirth Of Paula Abdul's Opposites Attract (VIDEO)

"Opposites Attract" video

Hear Paula Abdul's "Opposites Attract" covered by "serious" musicians.

Eliot Glazer, the talented writer, comedian, bearded man of my dreams, and sole human my parents might actually love more than me, is my BFFL, and also one of the best vocalists I know. Like, Stevie Wonder-caliber awesome plus the power of 10 gospel choirs. Fun fact: He also used to write for Buzzworthy!

Eliot also happens to run a hilarious web series called "Haunting Renditions," where he plays a "serious musician" delivering highly emotional versions of sugary pop songs (examples include Katy Perry's "California Gurls" and Avril Lavigne's "Sk8r Boi") and waxing philosophical about the tracks' deeper meanings along the way.

Anyway, today Eliot has unleashed the crème de la crème of "serious" covers: Paula Abdul's 1989 classic "Opposites Attract."

Watch Eliot Glazer perform "Opposites Attract" after the jump.

Backed by a troupe of classical musicians, a cat ear-wearing Eliot trades verses with fellow singer Camille Harris, and they even manage not to crack a smile while singing ridiculous lyrics like "Baby seems we never ever agree/ You like the movies/ And I like TV."

Later on, the video cuts to a humorous and perfectly sarcastic commentary section where Eliot examines the deeper meaning behind MC Skat Kat (aka the animated cat who costarred in Paula's original "Opposites Attract" video) and Paula's tumultuous relationship: "Why repair, if we can move forward as two people who HATE each other? I hate you! What does that mean?"

Closing thoughts? It's a huge life mistake not to get involved with Eliot's "Haunting Renditions." I also happen to be featured in a forthcoming episode, to which I say, BRACE YO'SELF, TAYLOR SWIFT!
