Between our guide to the levels of loving Nick Jonas and his older bro Joe’s cute tribute, we hope you had a completely joyous time celebrating the birthday boy’s big day.

But just in case you aren’t finished honoring the man of the hour (which, duh, of course you aren’t), there’s one more well-wish that needs to be recognized. And it comes to us via one of Nick’s closest buds, Demi Lovato.

Demi took to Instagram on Wednesday night (Sept. 16) to wish Nick a happy 23rd, posting an adorable throwback pic of them playing guitar together.

“Happy bday to one of my favorite people in the whole wide world @nickjonas!!!” Demi captioned the snap. “Love you brother. Look at that #jofro tho….”

Wait a minute… YES! THAT JO FRO THOUGH! Amid all the excitement about Nick’s current-day hunkiness, we almost overlooked the fact that this is a dude who used to slay on the daily with his luscious locks, henceforth known as a “Jo Fro.” Thank you for that coinage, Demi.

In celebration, let’s look back at the golden age of Nick’s Jo Fro:

When Nick first visited MTV's "TRL" in 2006, he had the baby beginnings of a fro.

And soon after it was ALL CURLS AHEAD.

Jo Bros fans literally tried grabbing his curls off his head.

Even Miley Cyrus was thirsty for that fro.
