Neil Patrick Harris Is Coming To 'American Horror Story,' And He's Bringing A Friend

Seemed inevitable; still awesome.

Things that weren't enough for Neil Patrick Harris: hosting the Oscars, getting his own variety show, starring in one of the hottest films of the year, general world domination.

No, the beloved star just had to go ahead and book a role in one of the most popular shows in the universe right now -- and he's bringing his husband along for the ride!

TVLine confirmed the news that Harris and his real-life husband, David Burtka, will guest star in "American Horror Story: Freak Show." Harris will appear in the series' final two episodes as a "chameleon salesman," while Burtka will show up in the grand finale for a "sexy storyline" with Jessica Lange's Elsa Mars.

Of course is all wonderful news, and given the modern-day music used in the '50s-set series, one can only hope that Harris might reprise one of the musical numbers from "Hedwig."
