Guess who’s back?

Kanye West’s seventh studio album can’t be far away because he previewed new songs from the project Wednesday (January 21) at the iHeartMedia Music Summit at the iHeartRadio Theatre in Burbank, California.

According to Billboard, Def Jam CEO Steve Bartels surprised everyone when he introduced the Yeezus MC after his scheduled presentation.

“I wanna stop this and turn it over to one of the great iconic rock stars of our time: Kanye West,” he said.

After strolling out with his laptop in hand, the “I Am A God” rapper put down the mic and spoke for 45 minutes without a microphone.

Among the topics were his signing to Roc-a-Fella, his “responsibility to innovate,” breaking through on radio with songs like “Jesus Walks” and how his experimental 808s & Heartbreak album influenced current urban radio.

“I was joking!” he said about not wanting to be on the radio onstage at the Governors Ball last year. “Of course I want to be on the radio!”

‘Ye rapped “Black Skinhead” a cappella and then spoke about and briefly performed his new Paul McCartney-assisted song, “Only One.”

While recalling his jam session with the legendary Beatle, the Chicago representer reflected on an important question he asked about “free love.”

“What was pussy like in the ‘60s?” he asked.

In closing, Kanye played a yet-to-be-titled duet with Rihanna, closed his laptop and exited stage left to a rapturous standing ovation.
