Emma Watson Is Officially A Disney Princess

She'll play Belle in a live-action "Beauty and the Beast."

She's already played the cleverest witch of our times, and now she's bound for a truly magical love story: Emma Watson will play Belle in a live-action update of "Beauty and the Beast."

"Time to start some singing lessons," Watson wrote in a Facebook post announcing the role, adding that "my six year old self is on the ceiling - heart bursting."

Bill Condon, who directed parts 1 and 2 of "Twilight: Breaking Dawn," as well as "Dreamgirls," "The Fifth Estate" and more, is in the director's chair for the film, which is expected to start production later this year.

Of course, we know our girl Emma will be perfect for the part. Here's why:

She knows how to make an entrance.

Belle has to be magnetic enough to turn an actual beast's head. Flashback to "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire," when Hermione's grand entrance took everyone's breath away. She's got this, guys.

She knows how to put the boys in their place.

In real life and the wizarding world, Emma/Hermione knows how to enforce around the boys. She's a U.N. Women's Goodwill Ambassador, of course, helming the #HeForShe campaign, and as Hermione, broke up legendary boy squabbles between Harry and Ron. That Beast doesn't even stand a chance.

She's gonna knock that ballroom dancing out of the park.

Hermione Dancing

"Beauty and the Beast" is nothing without that gorgeous ballroom dancing scene, "tale as old as time" and all. Luckily, Emma has already slipped on her fancy dancing shoes for the Yule Ball in "Goblet of Fire." Check that one off the list.

Books and cleverness? She's got 'em.

Yeah, she has the whole bookworm thing on lock. Reading while walking? Not a problem.
