While sports fans are busy cheering their favorite teams through the playoffs (Go Seahawks!) to see who will be facing off in the Super Bowl, music fans are counting down to their own unmissable event: the annual bonanza of the halftime show.
And while we already knew that Katy Perry was going to bring her colorful Prism of pop songs to the show, the "Dark Horse" singer just announced her first special guest!
And no, it's not Juicy J—instead the pop singer is going in a rock and roll direction, tapping Lenny Kravitz for the show.
"My first special guest is going to be an incredible rock and roll icon, a guitar god," she told Willie Geist of NBC during the Baltimore Ravens and New England Patriots football game yesterday. "I'm going to have Lenny Kravitz on the show! "He's got so much style. He's the coolest. He's the King of cool. He's going to make me so much cooler that day."
And as far as a collaboration between the two, Perry said they are still "in the process of working it out."
She also confirmed the news via her Twitter:
Also important to note? Perry referred to Kravitz as her first special guest—which means more are on the way! So there's still hope for a Juicy J cameo, right guys??
