Nightmare Pig Terrorizing Kids Of Maine Is Finally Captured

It sounded like a horror movie beast, but this psycho pig's reign of terror ended with a little ice cream.

A couple weeks ago, we told you about an insane 80-pound escaped farm pig “screaming at the kids and chasing them” in the town of Oakland, Maine. It also attacked a woman. And since Maine is where Stephen King sets most of his stories, we weren't discounting the possibility that this ferocious swine was some kind of ancient supernatural evil.

“The pig is out there,” a law enforcement officer said ominously at the time, no doubt as spooky music played in the background.

After a month-long investigation, the town of Oakland can sleep with the lights off again: The town's animal control officer and an agent from the U.S. Department of Agriculture -- whom Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConoughey should play in the Hollywood version, no question about it -- heroically tracked the monster down:

“It was quite a process,” Oakland Police Chief Rick Stubbert told The officers actually ran into the pig on Monday, Stubbert said, and soon found that the hunters had become the hunted. “It didn’t attack but it certainly was interested in them,” Stubbert said.

The Bangor Daily News further explains that the duo "baited the pig with corn and ice cream...used to lure the pig into a specially built pen, where it was found Tuesday morning..." And the pig actually doesn't look too scary after all:

“The trails are safe," police said. "They have reopened." Yeah, until this pig's turned into bacon and comes back from the dead for its ultimate vengeance. Enjoy your summer BBQs while you can, doomed residents of Maine (while you still have faces to eat with).
