Barry White Cancels Shows Due To Illness

R&B crooner had to scotch seven shows due to exhaustion.

Booming baritone Barry White, best known for his husky-voiced R&B love songs with lush arrangements, was recently forced to cancel seven performances due to exhaustion, according to a spokesperson for his label. The tour, which White was to headline with support from R&B band Earth, Wind and Fire, is now expected to launch in early September. White's latest album, Staying Power, was released last week and features a grinding cover of funk legend Sly Stone's hit "Thank You" remixed by rapper/producer Puff Daddy.
