'Noah': The 7 Most Epic Visuals From The Trailer
When you hear that Darren Aronofsky is going to make a biblical epic out of the story of Noah and the ark, it's pretty safe to assume that the thing is going to have some crazy imagery, and the first trailer confirmed as much on Thursday.
"Noah" stars Russell Crowe as the family man who dreams of a watery end for the world, but the apocalypse isn't even the craziest thing that we see in the preview for the film, which is due out on March 28. We've rounded up some of the trailer's best shots for you to enjoy a second time.
An Apple And A Snake
Nothing says "Old Testament" quite like the image of an apple and a snake, referencing the fall of man in the Garden of Eden, the start of the evil that causes the Notorious G.O.D. to send the flood at the center of the movie. Plus, it's the kind of strangeness that we hope for from Aronofsky.
Comets Falling
It's the end of the world as Noah knew it, but from the looks of those meteorites heading towards earth, not everyone is going to be feeling fine.
Russell Crowe: Biblical Badass
Sometimes when you need to get down to business and build a freaking ark to save all of the earth's innocents, a head of moppy hair isn't going to cut it. That's why Noah gets a no-frills 'do when it's time for construction.
Time-Lapse Time
As a quick recap of the history of the world, the trailer offers a time-lapse look at the different stages of development with this breathtaking image.
Two Of A Kind
What is a Noah movie without an enormous herd of animals all walking towards your boat expecting a free ride, shelter and food? You know, come to think of it, the animals had it pretty good.
BOOM
We're not entirely sure what is happening here, but we like it.
Actually Looks Kind Of Refreshing
When Ray Winstone and his group of unworthy heathens attempt to take the ark, they probably have the same sudden realization. "Ohhhh. So when Noah said he wasn't alone, that's what he meant?"
"Noah" opens in theaters on March 28.
