'Ghostbusters' Star Leslie Jones Puts Racist Twitter Trolls On Blast

’You won’t believe the evil‘

While the internet continues throwing its #KimExposedTaylorParty, Leslie Jones is doing some epic exposing of her own.

After noticing a slew of hateful tweets directed at her, the Ghostbusters and SNL actress decided to put the trolls on blast so others “can see the BS.” She added, “You won’t believe the evil. It’s fucking scary.” Jones then began sharing screenshots of the disturbing abuse she was receiving, which include insulting memes and racist messages.

After sharing several screenshots like the ones above, Jones reflected on all the hate over a long series of tweets, writing, “I don't know how to feel. I'm numb. Actually numb. I see the words and pics and videos. Videos y'all. Meaning people took time to sprew hate... Like no shame or compassion for human life. It scares the fuck out of me!

“I'm not stupid to not know racism exists,” she continued. “And I know it will probably live on way after me. But we have to make people take responsibility for the hate they sprew. We have to stand up to it... Stop letting the ignorant people be the loud ones.”

Thus far, Twitter has done nothing about the abuse, and it’s unclear whether any of the users Jones reported have been banned from the site. On the upside, a flurry of supportive tweets — many with the hashtag #LoveForLeslieJ — soon started spilling in from stars and strangers alike, including Ghostbusters director Paul Fieg.

Here’s hoping Twitter will take action against hateful users like the ones Jones put on blast — or that these kinds of people will just stop being so awful in the first place.
